Leaving the Sunchubamba Cloud Forest we began our amazing journey by bus that would be hard for the imagination to rival the reality. A journey from the Highland Cloud Forest to the Lowland Rain Forest. Traveling on narrow roads with barely enough room for the bus; waterfalls, the landscape covered with red epiphytes, ferns, palms, bamboo and orchids. A turn in the road too risky for us to remain in the bus. We walk across the narrow, water eroded strip of road while the bus slowly maneuvers across the strip of road. It is dusk when we arrive in the small humid village of Pilcopata situated in the Lowland Rain Forest. The night is spent in the villages.
