Clean and sober since 1984, Duval's first hand experience on the road to recovery helps people extend their range of thought and encounter the unfamiliar with an open mind. A drug and alcohol outreach worker at the Office of Youth Services in Manchester, Duval describes his past in an honest, powerful and cathartic fashion. Duval speaks with emotion about the ups and downs of his life experience as a former student athlete, alcoholic, drug addict and finally as the head coach of the 1993 Manchester West High School State Championship boys basketball team. He has a profound message for all people, young and old, student athletes and non-student athletes, men and women. The event, sponsored by the Alcohol Task Force at Southampton College, is free and open to the public. For further information call Alice Flynn, (516) 287-8278.
