Southampton College Fall Open House Set for Oct 23, For New and Returning Students

Southampton College will host the annual fall Open House for high school students and their parents, transfer students, returning adult students, and graduate students, on Saturday, October 23 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Southampton College faculty, administrators and students will meet in the Fine Arts Building to greet visitors and answer questions. Video presentations and information workshops will take place throughout the day.

Students will lead tours of the 110-acre College campus located on the East End of Long Island, overlooking Shinnecock Bay in the heart of the Hamptons. Visitors will tour the state-of-the-art "Island Room," equipped with Silicon Graphics computers, and will visit Chancellors Hall, the new classroom and lab building, and home of WPBX, 88.3 FM, the College's 25,000-watt public radio station.

Visitors are welcome to gather information regarding academic programs, athletics, honors program, graduate programs and the new evening degree completion program. Professors from each division will be available to answer questions regarding fine arts, communication arts, business, education, gerontology, humanities, social science, and marine and environmental science majors.

Reservations are recommended for Southampton College's fall Open House on Saturday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free. Call 516-287-8200 to reserve today.
