Fax: (516) 283 4081Swing back to the 1940's with Walton Jones' big band swing musical, The 1940's Radio Hour. Southampton Players announce open auditions for this production at 6 PM on Tuesday, February 16 and Wednesday, February 17, in the Avram Theater at Southampton College. This musical production, with performance dates of April 15 - 18 and 22 - 24 in the Avram Theater, features such standards as Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Blue Moon, That Ol' Black Magic, Blues in the Night, I Got It Bad And That Ain't Good, I'll Be Seeing You, and Strike Up the Band. Available roles include those for nine men ranging in age from 18 - 60, and for four women raging in age from 17 - 50. Auditioners should be prepared to sing swing, and read from the script. Sheet music in the singer's key and dance shoes are required. Michael Disher will direct and choreograph; Drina Keen will serve as musical director.
