Southampton, NY -- Acclaimed marine science experts will discuss Current Topics in Marine Science during spring semester lectures being offered at Southampton College of Long Island University.
The 12 lectures, which take place Thursdays from now through May 14, are free and open to the public. All seminars will be held in the Business Center Lecture Hall at 6:30 p.m.
Southampton College has received national acclaim for its Marine and Environmental Science programs. Students in these and other programs have won 28 Fulbright Scholarships in the past 22 years, one of the highest totals for any equivalent-sized college in the nation.

PAM DAVIE HUGGINS and LUKE HUGGINS of the Marine Science Research Center at SUNY Stony Brook will present Shape Shifters: Ecological Implications of Allometric Changes in Marine Organisms; and Two Approaches for Determining the Role of a Bone Morphogenetic Protein in Sea Urchin Larval Development.- February 19:
