AFRICAN HERITAGE CELEBRATION AT Southampton Graduate Campus

Southampton Graduate Campus through its Center for Cultural and Racial Diversity has planned an African Heritage Celebration that includes a series of special events throughout February and March. Highlights include a performance by the Dance Theater of Harlem School Ensemble, a lecture by Leonard Jeffries titled The Levels of Exodus, and a Bob Marley Tribute. - Lucumi panel discussion. Lucumi is a centuries old religion with roots in Africa and the Caribbean. African drums performance will be presented between sessions. Business Center Lecture Hall. Free. Time TBA

- Bob Marley Tribute. Souljahs a traditional reggae band will play in tribute to the reggae king. $10. Fine Art Theater.

- Leonard Jeffries, Professor and chairman of Black Studies at City College of New York will deliver his lecture The Levels of Exodus. Free. Fine Arts Theatre.

- The Bell Curve. Harold E. Dent, a psychology professor at Hampton University and a Shinnecock native, will discuss the theories proposed in the book. Free. Business Center Lecture Hall.
