Southampton, NY - Southampton College alumnus Cindy Rodriguez, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2000, recently returned to her alma mater to speak on the role of Forensic Biology in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
While enrolled at Southampton College, Rodriquez participated in two internships: as an autopsy technician at the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office and as a researcher at Harvard Medical School. After graduation she worked at New York City's Medical Examiner's Office and ultimately landed a position as a forensic scientist with the Department of Forensic Biology where she was intimately involved in the investigations of the World Trade Center attacks. Rodriguez is joined by Southampton College professors (l-r) John Neill, Howard Reisman, Bill Schutt, Robert Turner and Art Goldberg.
