"Writer's Talk" Kicks off 2004 with Poet and Professor Michael Waters

Southampton, NY - Southampton College welcomes poet Michael Waters on Wednesday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the College's Pratt Center Oceanview Lounge as part of its "Writer Talk" lecture series. Waters will read poetry and discuss being a professor and writer-in-residence.
Waters has published seven volumes of poetry, most recently, "Parthenopi." A professor at Maryland's Salisbury University and a student in the New England College MFA Program, he'll be Stadler Poet-in-Residence at Bucknell University in 2005. He's been awarded a Creative Writing Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, several individual Artist Awards from the Maryland State Arts Council and three Pushcart Prizes.
