Southampton, NY - The School of Continuing Education at Southampton College announces the return of its most popular writing course, "What is Remembered". Taught by Barbara Wersba, this class in memoir writing is for the mature student who wishes to explore his or her life's journey and find new meaning in it. A warm and informal atmosphere is provided, work is shared in an exciting way and no writing experience is necessary.

Barbara Wersba is the author of 27 books for children and young adults. For 17 years she was a reviewer for the "New York Times Book Review", and in 1976 she was nominated for a National Book Award. She holds an honorary doctorate from Bard College, and has taught writing workshops for the past twenty years. Currently, Barbara runs her own small publishing company, The Bookman Press, in Sag Harbor. Since its inception in 1997, the Press has published George Sand, James Salter, Joe Pintauro, Janet Flanner and Kenneth Patchen.

"What is Remembered" meets Saturdays, March 20-June 5, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. For more information and to register, call The School of Continuing Education at (631) 287-8316.
