Artist Reception to be Held At Avram Gallery on Thursday, February 26

631-287-8313Southampton, NY - The Robert Munford Alumni Invitational in the Avram Gallery is hosting a special artists reception on Thursday, February 26, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Artists on display are James Della-Volpe, Linda Marbach, and Ruby Jackson. Della-Volpe, who received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1979, paints largely in oils and currently teaches at the Victor D'Amico Art Barge in Amagansett, N.Y. Sculptor Linda Marbach is an adjunct professor and the manager of the Ceramics Studio at CW Post. Sculptor Ruby Jackson has displayed her art in more than 25 exhibits including one of Manhattan's most visible and prestigious venues - the windows of Tiffany's.
The event is named for the late Robert Munford, a beloved Southampton College Art Professor (1971-91) who painted in Europe and New York City before joining the College. In Ibiza during the 1950s, he joined Grupo Ibiza, a group of American and European artists who greatly influenced that era's Spanish art scene.
