Southampton, NY – Legendary rock icon Rod Stewart will wind up his New York appearances with a benefit concert at Southampton College of Long Island University on Monday, August 23, at 7:30 p.m. A limited number of general admission tickets, priced at $55 each, are still available. Concertgoers are encouraged to purchase tickets now, because the concert is expected to sell out quickly.

Stewart also played the “All for the Sea” benefit in 1998, entertaining a sell-out crowd and raising funds for the College’s nationally renowned programs in marine and environmental science. Since its inception in 1992, “All For The Sea” has raised nearly $13 million.

Tickets may be purchased on a cash-only basis at Long Island Sound Music on Job's Lane in Southampton Village (631-324-2683) and the Main Street, East Hampton location (631-324-2660); Long Wharf Wines and Spirits on Bay Street in Sag Harbor (631-725-2400); Lynne's Cards and Gifts on Main Street in Westhampton Beach (631-288-1312). Tickets also are available through the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at Southampton College by calling (631-287-8347 or 7590), or through TicketMaster at 631-888-9000, or www.ticketmaster.com

For nearly twenty-five years, Rod Stewart has been there…The voice. The hair. The savior faire.  And, like that album title from so long ago, there’s “Never A Dull Moment.”  From his early Scottish roots, transplanted to Swinging London’s rough and tumble underground, to a career that gives fresh new meaning to Blue-Eyed Soul:  through a history-making catalog of classic songs, to a place in the pantheon of genuine musical legends:  Rod Stewart has survived.  And thrived.

Stewart, will be performing songs from his extensive catalog of hits including “Maggie May,”  “Tonight’s The Night,”  “You’re In My Heart,”  “Forever Young,” “Downtown Train,” “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” and “Have I Told You Lately” as well favorites from Stewart’s most recent album, As Time Goes By…The Great American Songbook: Volume II, a reprise of his mega-successful (more than 4-million sold) It Had To Be You…The Great American Songbook, which entered the Billboard Top 200 album charts at #2.

On the day of the concert, gates will open at 5 p.m. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m., rain or shine. General admission tickets are $55 and special packages are available for alumni (call 631-287-8347). A limited number of VIP tickets, with reserved parking, up-front seating and admission to a pre-concert tent party also are available (call 516-299-4196 or 516-299-3298). No tickets will be sold at the gate. Call the

“All For The Sea” concert hotline at 631-287-8375 or visit www.liu.edu/all4sea for further information.
