Rod Stewart to Headline Southampton College’s 13th Annual "All for the Sea" Concert Monday, August 23, at 7:30 p.m.

Southampton, NY — Rod Stewart will rock the crowd at this year’s "All for the Sea" benefit concert at Southampton College of Long Island University. The British-born superstar who is currently on a 44-city tour after the release of his double platinum album, "As Time Goes By...The Great American Songbook: Volume II," will perform numbers from his extensive array of popular hits to help raise scholarship funds for the College’s renowned programs in marine and environmental science. Stewart played to a sell-out crowd at the 1998 "All for the Sea" concert and is expected to do the same this year.

The show will take place on Monday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. on the College’s athletic field. General Admission tickets priced at $55 each, will go on sale on Saturday, May 29, at 10:00 a.m.

For those who attended any of Long Island University’s campuses, a special alumni ticket package is available for $100. Call 631-287-8347 to order alumni tickets by phone on or after June 1.

A limited number of VIP tickets, starting at $400 each, will provide reserved, up-front seating and parking and admission to a private, pre-concert party in a tent adjacent to the stage. Food, wine and beer from 50 of the East End’s finest restaurants, caterers and vineyards will be served. Gates open for the concert at 5 p.m. All tickets are advance-purchase only. No tickets will be sold at the gate on the day of the performance. Alcohol, coolers, cans, bottles, food, beverages and recording devices are prohibited. Food and beverages will be sold, and concertgoers should bring a low beach chair. Seating is festival-style.
