Southampton College Runner’s Club Takes on Pumpkin 5K Footrace
Students-Athletes Hope Good Showing Inspires a Varsity Team

Southampton, NY — This past Sunday, three members of the Southampton College Runner’s Club took on the field at the Pumpkin 5k footrace in Southampton. Kasey Jacobs, Renee Harrington and Danielle Thibault all woke up early and braved the cloudy skies to see what they had in them. Danielle finished 20^th out of 101. She also was the 4^th female to finish overall. Renee finished 24^th and Kasey finished 84. All three girls were pleased with their results. The girls all enjoyed the competition and hope that Southampton College can add Women’s Cross Country as a varsity sport before their tenure is over.
