Southampton, NY Southampton College professor Paul Forestell will present "Syntax, Sex and Toxins: Three Views of a Dolphins World" on Thursday, October 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Colleges Business Center Lecture Hall. The talk is part of the Southampton College Current Topics in Marine Science Lecture Series.
Forestell, an Associate Professor of Psychology at the College, is a leading expert in whale and dolphin behavior, with major interests in animal cognition and social behavior. He is Vice President of Pacific Whale Foundation, a Maui-based whale research and education organization, and a research associate with the Talamanca Dolphin Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the wild dolphins and people of the Talamanca region, along Costa Ricas southeast Atlantic coast. During the winter intersession, Forestell leads a group of Southampton College students to Costa Rica to study the behavior of wild dolphins.
