Energy for the Future: Environmental Lecture Sponsored by College

Student Debate on Oil Drilling to Precede Lecture

As part of its Current Topics in Environmental Science series, Southampton College will host a lecture entitled "Energy for the Future: Conservation, Alternative Sources, and New Technologies" on Wednesday, April 24.

Dan Zoweski, Director of Energy Efficiency and Distributed Generation Programs Long Island Power Authority will speak between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. a student debate will take place on the topic "Drilling for Oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve - Yes or No?" It will feature Eric Abrahamson, Patrick Powell, Nicole Scola and Tiana Scott.
