Lauren Bacall in "The Fan" as Part of Spring Film Series at Southampton CollegeSeries Sponsored by Dan's Papers is Free and Open to the Public

- Southampton College will present Lauren Bacall in "The Fan" as part of a series of films made on or about Long Island. The series, entitled "The Dan's Papers They Made the Movie Here Film Festival," is co-sponsored by Dan's Papers and is free and open to the public.
The film will be shown on Saturday, May 4 at 2:30 p.m. in Duke Lecture Hall at Southampton College of Long Island University.
Film and stage legend Lauren Bacall stars in her most controversial role as a famous Broadway star who becomes the unwilling love object of a psychotic fan. James Garner stars as her ex-husband and Maureen Stapleton as her secretary.
The series continues on Saturday, May 11 with Ed Burns' "She's The One" and will conclude with the great cinema verite documentary "Grey Gardens" by Albert and David Maysles on May 25.
