- The Southampton College community welcomed Judit Nagy, a Visual Anthropology major from the University of Miskolc in Hungary, as an exchange student for the fall 2002 semester.
Nagy will study film and photography while at Southampton and will conduct a special film project at the Shinnecock Reservation under the guidance of Dr. John Strong and film professor John Reilly.
The Exchange Student Program at Southampton College was created for students who want the experience of studying in an international environment. In the Fall of 1999, an exchange program was established with the University of Miskolc in Miskolc, Hungary, under the guidance of a long-time Southampton College professor, John Strong. Dr. Strong received a Fulbright scholarship in 1998, and is a Fulbright lecturer at the University of Miskolc, teaching about prehistoric Native American cultures and anthropological theories.
