Southampton College will present the documentary "Grey Gardens" as the finale to a series of films made on or about Long Island. The series, entitled "The Dan's Papers They Made the Movie Here Film Festival," is co-sponsored by Dan's Papers and is free and open to the public.

The film will be shown on Saturday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. in Duke Lecture Hall at Southampton College of Long Island University.

The film, by Albert and David Maysles, is a shocking documentary that captures the later years of Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter, Edie (aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Onassis). It was filmed in their decaying, overgrown mansion in East Hampton. The film is a poetic and hauntingly memorable experience.
