- The #2 Southampton College Lady Colonials defeated the #3 C.W. Post Lady Pioneers 2-1 in front of 225 fans at Southampton College. This is the first title for the Lady Colonials since 1991.
Lady Colonial sophomore Melissa Suarez started the scoring off an assist from sophomore Joanna Vaccaro at 14:52 in the first half. The score would remain 1-0 until junior Jessica Coulon scored a goal at 51:30 after a great hustle and scramble in the box. Not to be denied though, senior Tara Vokes scored a goal at 72:35 to bring the Lady Pioneers within one. The Southampton defense closed the door with help from senior goalie Tiffany Hughes, who finished the day with ten saves, and ECAC MVP senior Kristen Fern. C.W. Post goalkeeper, Paige Pepper, had four saves on the day.
Southampton finishes the season at 15-6 while C.W. Post drops to 12-5-4.
