- Dr. M. Radh Achuthan, a professor of physics in the Natural Science Division at Southampton College, will present a talk entitled "Viewpoint from Cuba" on Friday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the College's Chancellor's Hall.
Achuthan went to Cuba this past summer under the auspices of the Radical Philosophers of America. His talk will focus on Cuba's educational structure, racism, community development, economics, and the Latin American School of Medicine (LASM), where people receive free training to become doctors and dentists and return to their countries to serve the needy. He will also show excerpts from a video on the 75th anniversary of Fidel Castro's birth.
