WLIU 88.3 FM and WCWP 88.1 FM celebrate Chanukah with three special programs:

A Great Miracle Happened There, is a conversation between Rabbi Ismar Schorsch and host Larry Josephson and mixed with holiday music by Cantor Marcia Tilchin. This program explains the Chanukah story of a civil war between secular Jews and the Maccabees, and the miracle of the oil - a day's supply that burned for eight days. A Great Miracle Happened There will air on Friday, November 29th at 3 p.m.

What is Chanukah? is a program that reveals the history behind the food, the games and the gifts of Chanukah, explaining what the "Festival of Lights" is really about. Featuring notable religious writer Rabbi Kushner and his wife, Karen Kushner, a family therapist and author, and other high profile personalities, What is Chanukah? presents the holiday through the words of children and how they and their families observe it. What is Chanukah? airs at 3 p.m. on Monday, December 2nd.

A Taste of Chanukah is a festive hour-long concert featuring over 150 musicians from the New England Conservatory, the Boston Community Choir, and other ensembles, recorded live at the New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall in Boston. Listeners will enjoy the contributions of Cantor Morton Shames, humorist Chasia Segal , and host Theodore Bikel on A Taste of Chanukah which airs Friday, December 6th at 3 p.m.
