- Southampton College will present Woody Allen's "Annie Hall" as part of a series of films made on or about Long Island. The series, titled "The Dan's Papers They Made the Movie Here Film Festival" is co-sponsored by Dan's Papers and is free and open to the public.
The film will be shown on Saturday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. in Duke Lecture Hall of Southampton College of Long Island University.
Woody Allen's classic film won four Oscars including Best Picture in 1977. The bittersweet romantic comedy filled with quotable, witty one liners and other innovative comedic devices chronicles the rise and fall of Allen's own New York romance and features Diane Keaton, Tony Roberts, Carol Kane, Shelley Duvall, Colleen Dewhurst, Christopher Walken, and Paul Simon.
The series will continue on Saturday, November 9 with "The Dain Curse," a film based on Dashiell Hammett's novel.
