The Southampton College men's and women's soccer teams both made the Eastern College Athletic Conference tournament, league officials announced today.

Southampton College will also host both men's and women's tournaments Nov. 13-17.

With an 11-3-2 overall record, the Colonials men's soccer team is ranked No. 1 and will face either No. 3 Felician or No. 2 Bridgeport on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. (Felician plays an outbracket game at Bridgeport on Friday.)

The men's soccer team was recently named co-champion of the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference with Dowling and NYIT as all three teams fought to 7-2 league records.

The Southampton College women's soccer team is 12-6 overall and ranked No. 3 in the ECAC tournament.

Wednesday, Nov. 13, No. 5 St. Michael's College goes to No. 4 CW Post at 1 p.m. That same day, No. 6 Assumption visits Southampton at 1:30 p.m.

On Saturday at Southampton College, No. 1 Bridgeport takes on the winner of the CW Post-St. Michael's contest at 10:30 a.m.

No. 2 Philadelphia takes on the winner of the Southampton-Assumption contest at 1 p.m.

Then on Sunday the women's ECAC Championship game will be at 10:30 a.m.

Both Southampton College men's and women's soccer teams earned ECAC berths last season, but neither team won the title. The last ECAC championship for the men's soccer team was in 1995. The last women's title was in 1990.
