P.E.A.C.E. to Hold Earth Day Festival

P.E.A.C.E. (Protecting Every Aspect Concerning the Environment), a student organization devoted to preserving the environment, will sponsor Earthfest, a free festival on Sunday, April 22 from 11:00 a.m. until midnight at Federal Field on the Southampton College campus.

Planned activities range from an organic farmers market to feng shui and reggae, rock and folk music. Representatives from local environmental advocacy groups will also be on hand to speak about local environmental issues.

There will be an open microphone hour available to musicians who bring their own instruments; bay tours, nature hikes and a trip to the Quogue Wildlife Refuge will be offered, and as a special attraction Toyota will have its new gas/electric hybrid car on display.
