Fax: (631) 283 4081Southampton, NY - Researchers from St. John's University, Cornell University, and the University of Delaware will join Southampton College Professors Sandra Shumway and Paul Forestell in a Marine Science Lecture Series scheduled to be held on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the Duke Lecture Hall at Southampton College.
Professor Shumway will lead the Series with a talk on Harmful Algal Blooms: Time to Rethink the Anthropocentric Focus on Thursday, February 1st at 6:30 p.m.
Lecture topics will be announced for February 8th & February 15th .
On February 22nd Professor Brook Lauro from St. John's University will lead a discussion on The Ecology and Conservation of Shorebirds.
On March 1st Cornell University's Professor James Casey will present Viral Agents and Associated Tumors in Aquatic Animals.
On March 8th join Southampton College Professor Paul Forestell as he discusses Sex Underwater: Reproductive Behaviors in Dolphins in Costa Rica.
On March 15th William R. Hall, a professor at the University of Delaware will lead a talk entitled The Horseshoe Crab: Man's Best Friend?
On March 29th Jan Landsberg of the Florida Marine Research Institute will present a discussion on Sea Turtles, Manatees, and Harmful Algal Blooms.
