The Art of Writing: University Professor Roger Rosenblatt Hosts Talks with Some of the Country's Finest WritersSunday Series will take place at New York's 92nd Street Y

Fax: (631) 283 4081Roger Rosenblatt, University Professor of Writing at Southampton College, will gather some of the country's finest writers for four evenings on the art of writing. The Sunday talk series entitled "Roger Rosenblatt and Friends" will take place at New York's celebrated 92nd Street Y.
Novelists, short story writers, playwrights, poets, and actors will gather in groups of three or four to talk about why, how and how differently they write in various subjects. The four evenings will be devoted to "The Novel" (January 13), "The Essay" (February 10), "The Play" (March 17) and "Across Genres" (May 12).
Participants include writers on the Southampton College faculty and others such as Nora Ephron, Kathleen Turner, Calvin Trillin, Jules Feiffer, Alice McDermott, Bobbie Ann Mason, Sue Miller, Walter Mosely and John Guare. The events will be held from
7:30 - 9 p.m. at the 92nd St. Y at 1395 Lexington Avenue in Manhattan.
Free tickets will be set aside for students in the Southampton College MFA in Writing Program and for undergraduates interested in writing. In addition, free tickets will be available to Southampton faculty and administrators and to instructors in writing and literature at the C.W. Post and Brooklyn campuses of Long Island University.
