Training Workshop for Whale Watch Volunteers

Fax: (631) 283 4081The Coastal Research and Education Society of Long Island (CRESLI) will hold its annual training workshop for whale watch volunteers on Saturday June 17th, 2000 in Duke Lecture Hall, Chancellors Hall at Southampton College of Long Island University from 12:30 until 3:00 PM.
The summer whale watch trips (with the Viking Fleet of Montauk) will take place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (weather permitting) from July 1st through September 3rd. Volunteers will be trained to assist in spotting whales, dolphins, sea turtles, pelagic birds and other marine organisms and to assist CRESLI researchers in data collection. Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible.
