Hertog's critically acclaimed " Anne Morrow Lindbergh: Her Life" (Nan A. Talese, 1999) is the first complete portrait of famed pilot Charles Lindbergh's wife to be published and the only biography in which she participated. Hertog's meticulously researched book also fleshes out the popular portrayal of Charles Lindbergh by describing him through the eyes of his most intimate companion.
The author was granted rare access to Anne Lindbergh - famous for her closely guarded privacy - leading to almost five years of exclusive interviews between the two. Anne Lindbergh revealed the torture her life had been after the guilt associated with the violent and infamous murder of her infant son.
Hertog, who received her MFA degree from Columbia University, lives in Manhattan and works as a freelance journalist and photographer while raising her three children.
