Auditions Set for "Fools," a Play by Neil Simon

Fax: (631) 283 4081The Southampton Players, a troupe composed of local actors and Southampton College students, will stage its first-ever summer production this June with "Fools," a Neil Simon play.
Auditions for the 10-member cast will be held on Monday, May 15, at 6 p.m. in the Avram Theater at Southampton College of Long Island University. "Fools" is one of Simon's most respected, but lesser-known plays. Set in the 1890s, it's a comic fable about a Russian town cursed with stupidity.
Based on recent critical and popular success with productions including "Guys & Dolls" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream" during the regular school year, the Southampton Players are branching out into the summer. Performances will be June 16-17 and 23-24 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12/$8 for students and senior citizens. For further information, call (631) 287-8088.
