Ken Atchity Talks About Writing for Movies and Time Management

Fax: (631) 283 4081Southampton College of Long Island University hosts Ken Atchity as part of its Writers Talk series of readings and lectures. Atchity is an accomplished TV producer and editor/author of 13 books including "A Writer's Time."
Sponsored by Southampton College's MFA in Writing program, the event will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 8 p.m. in the Duke Lecture Hall. Admission is free and open to the public. Atchity was a literature and writing professor at UCLA and Occidental College for 17 years before starting his own literary agency, Atchity Entertainment/Editorial International in Beverly Hills, Calif. Besides being an expert on helping writers get their words turned into movies, Atchity also is an authority on time management for writers and his book, "A Writer's Time," is a guide to the creative process from vision through revision.
He has produced 20 films for video, TV and cinema, including "Amityville, The Evil Escapes" (NBC) and "Champagne for Two" (Cinemax-HBO). He was also co-founder of Dreamworks Magazine.
