Last year, Southampton College of Long Island University and The Bridgehampton National Bank had announced an official partnership that cemented their long-term cooperative effort. Southampton College has been the top provider of student interns and professionals for BNB, and the Bank wants to ensure the talent pool stays deep.

What was the Academic Dean's Conference Room in Chancellors Hall is now known as the Bridgehampton National Bank Conference Room.

Previously, the College had opened a refurbished and redesigned Career Resource Room, funded with the support of The Bridgehampton National Bank and renamed in BNB's honor. The Bridgehmapton National Bank Career Resource Room houses an online resume database of graduating seniors entering the job market, a Career Development Job Bank, and other career research materials.

BNB has employed over 20 Southampton College students as interns in the past 12 years and currently has six College alumni on its staff. In 1995, The College named the Bank the Cooperative Education Employer of the Year.

Southampton College graduates currently working for The Bridgehampton National Bank include Christopher Becker, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer ('88); Ann K. Sweeney, Vice President, Senior Banking Officer, Bridgehampton Market Area ('88); Kimberly Romano, Assistant Vice President, Assistant Comptroller ('93); Mimi Browne, Public Relations Manager ('91); Lauren D?Elia, Marketing Assistant ('99); and Laura Arnold, Audit Assistant ('00).

The College's Internship and Cooperative Education programs have placed thousands of students with local, national and international businesses. Combining real-world experience with academics, students earn credit and often are hired full-time upon graduation by the same firm where they interned. The Career Center welcomes all employers interested in using the resume database or other services of the Career Resource Room. Call (631) 287-8272 for more information.
