Students will meet Sally the Salamander, and Mitch the Pitch Pine Tree and all their friends. They will witness a wildfire (no real fires, we use a small smoke machine and fire siren sounds-the kids love it!). We do the interective puppet show, a review of what we learned during the show, hands on activities, a small group activity, and then a game style review with prizes I provide. I bring many props including pine tar from a pitch pine tree, deer antlers, soil samples, pine cones and other things kids can touch and smell to help them learn about the pine barrens. The fee covers all prizes, supplies, salary for my assitants and I, my props and puppet maintenence. |
