| To find out if the library owns a particular periodical
title in print format, please consult a "Periodical Holdings"
booklet within the library. You may also search LIUCat,
the LIU Online Catalog, to find periodicals held by this library
or by other libraries of LIU (see instructions below). Recent
issues and bound volumes of those periodicals that the library
currently receives are shelved alphabetically in closed stacks
on the upper level of the library. Needed issues or volumes can
be requested at the circulation desk by completing a periodical
request form.
In addition, there are Online Databases
available that contain the full-text of periodicals. You can search
for a specific full-text periodical within a database using the
Full-Text
Journal Search feature.
Periodicals on microfiche and microfilm are stored
in cabinets located in the rear left corner of the upper level.
Periodicals, newspapers, indexes, and abstracts are restricted
to use within the library. Coin operated machines are available
for the copying of periodical issues, microfilm, and microfiche.
If you have any questions regarding periodicals or need more specific information about a particular title,
please ask a librarian for assistance.
