Collages
Collages can be an effective (and fairly impressionistic) way to document the holistic sense of time spent in a place, on a journey, at a project, or in a mindset. Bus schedules, bits of bus posters, candy wrappers, newspaper scraps, political flyers, photographs, movie tickets; anything flat enough to be pasted on paper can go into a collage. (Don't forget your own droodles and sketches) Collages are very good at giving a general impression of an experience; it is much more difficult to do a collage that is easily interpretable as referring to specific events, processes, or itineraries. Collages are good for introducing ideas, or concluding ideas.

Inspired and Creative
- Make a collage for your learning Plan, capturing the gestalt of your goals and ideas in it!
- Organize a group collage
Rigorous Training
- Try it for fun (without the pressure of doing it for the Portfolio). You don't even really need to pick a topic. If you just collect bits and scraps that you come across in the course of a day, you will almost without trying be able to compile a sort of impression of your life that day.
AAAAAGGGHHHH!
- See Rigorous Training. Many people who used to think that they had no "artistic talent" realized that they were wrong when they tried doing a collage.
