Welcome from the Director

Thank you for your interest in Southampton Graduate Campus of Long Island University. You are a special member of the Suffolk County community and we hope that you choose to continue your education with us. At Southampton Graduate Campus, we are a community committed to helping you reach your educational and career goals by focusing on you. Enjoy small and convenient classes and take advantage of our co-op and internship program early on so that you can get the practical work experience and develop networking opportunities that you will need to succeed after graduation.

We’ve worked hard to ensure that your transition from Suffolk County Community College to Southampton Graduate Campus is a user friendly and seamless process. Recently, articulation (transfer) agreements were updated and/or created for students interested in majoring in Art, Business, Education, Natural Science, and Social Science.

Your next steps should be applying for admission and visiting campus. When you apply, you are automatically considered for an Academic Excellence Award. This award ranges from $3,000 to $9,000 per year for students with at least 30 credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

When you visit, you can meet with an admissions counselor, receive a credit evaluation, sit in on a class, meet a faculty advisor, discuss co-op and internships, take advantage of a student-guided tour, and have lunch on us. Call us at 631-287-8200 to set up an appointment.

Best wishes and continue to have a productive, successful, and safe year.

Sincerely,

Rory Shaffer-Walsh
Director of Admissions
